What to Wear With the Purple Wedge Shoe

What happens to a girl in a shoe shop when she finds the most adorable shoes, but has nothing to wear them with? I guess most of the smarter women (definitely not me) just go off and try to find a pair that goes with an outfit. Now me, I'm more of a shoe gal. I'd rather buy an outfit to go with a shoe, than vice versa. Which is how I came to be a very bad girl. And how I also came to be waiting for the postman everyday until my lovely shoes arrive. (PS: they have... and they're nummy!)

Now you tell me, are these the shoes that anyone could resist?

Now gorgeous as these shoes are, I don't have a lot of purple in my closet so it's obvious I had to skip these gorgeous shoes, or buy some things to match them. What's a girl to do?

Buy a new dress, new belt and a new blouse, that's what this girl did. If I'm completely honest, I also bought a new skirt and pants, but that's because the clothes were so cute.

First of all, I found two belts that are perfect and both at the same spot and if you don't think they're completely adorable.. well you will:

I have to admit it was hard to pick which was my favorite (that's probably why I had to buy both), but the plaid one is too amazing for words. The great part about the plaid is that the colors are so small you can wear them with purple wedges or pink.

Belts are one thing that makes it possible to wear a shoe with tons of different outfits. It just brings the outfit together with the shoes, without having to have the exact color in the clothing.

If you've read any of my other posts, you'll know I'm a huuuuge Sex and the City fan. I can't remember any show that depicted my love for shoes any better than the one episode where SJP (Carrie) sees a pair of shoes in the window and says "hello lover". That is pretty much how I felt when I saw these shoes.

There are other purple wedges that are just as gorgeous, and I can always find more purple styles. Once you find one pair of funky wedges, you realize that there isn't a need for only black, white, beige, taupe etc. shoes in your closet. But there is a most definitive need for colors that make you feel vibrant and alive; like purple.

So besides the belt, I bought a pretty cute dress. I'll post more pictures of it when it gets here. I don't want to tout something that hasn't been tried on yet. I will say that I bought it at eDressMe - dresses for all occasions, which is a shop I heard about first on some tv show. They're actually on all kinds of tv shows, that's why I can't narrow down where I saw them, but the dresses they had were replicas of the red carpet dresses that celebrities were wearing. So I'll plug them a little just because they're awesome.
