Spring Summer and Fall White Wedge Shoes

So I'm off to buy a pair of white wedge shoes, and I started to remember the old rule about when you can wear white blah de blah blah. Of course Americans use the term Memorial Day and Labor Day, as in not until after Memorial day and never after Labor Day, or some such silly rule. Rules, at least the silly ones, are meant to be broken. White shoes, these days, can be worn whenever you want, even in winter. The problem is that not a lot of shoes are available in winter styles and are a bright white. If you look hard enough, you can find several styles. My personal favorite white wedge shoe is the sandal (and yeah, I'm crazy enough to wear it in the winter sometimes. Hey, if it's 50 degrees or above - anything goes in my book!)

Now why do I choose white when you can only wear it a a few months of the year? Because, when you do wear it, it brightens up an entire outfit and because - *points above* - I break the rules. Think about how gorgeous white and black look together. I love wearing the combination of those styles in late summer and fall, but most especially in winter (though usually with boots). I used to have this really fantastic black and white dress with a black patent belt (shhh it was the early 90s!), and this awesome pair of white wedge pumps. That outfit got so many compliments it was crazy. Now, if you want a really great white wedge, you can choose a full on white or you can find a mix of white with other colors.

Summer wedges have all sorts of different styles. What I mean is, unlike winter, only boots are off limits (not all boots, mind). So peep toe, sandals, closed toe, high heels, low heels, you want it, you wear it. No limits.

Weddings, weddings, weddings. Summer and Spring seem to bulge the calendar with hundreds of weddings. Either you're going to one, in one, or the main attraction, in which case you're going to want some comfortable shoes. But not just weddings need comfort and not just comfort is important. (Sometimes my thoughts get ahead of my writing). What I mean to say is that style and comfort are going to be crucial at important events like weddings or anniversary dinners etc. So these beautiful shoes from Coloriffics are perfect. Because when it comes to a sneaker, comfort is the single most important factor. With so many women buying the same style of shoe, well... they can't all be wrong can they?
