A woman can never have too many shoes, right? Shoes are like the icing to a cake. They complete your entire outfit and add that “wow factor” that other accessories cannot! As with most wardrobe items, shoes are available in whatever color, style, size and price range a shopper can imagine.

One can tell a lot from a person by the shoes they are wearing. It is almost like an extension of their personality. Me, for instance, I wear platform wedge shoes almost a hundred percent of the time. I guess that says I like to be tall and wear funky shoes? That being said, let’s take a look at a bold pair of shoes, that every woman should have in their closet, a pair of red wedges.

There's shoes and then there's shoes. Whether that's ankle boots, closed toe shoes or full length boots really depends on the outfit and the weather. Hundreds of various styles are available, so whatever outfit there's a shoe to match. So why choose red wedge heels or boots over other? Flash, style, a statement or just because you're feeling bold and sexy! So what kinds of shoes are we talking about here?

For there's no blue Monday in your Sunday clothes! Buckles for professional looks or power-looks, ruffles, bows and ties for fancier outfits.

Now, for the warmer weather, there are so many girly choices! And maybe you're a girly-girl, maybe you're not, either way there's a shoe for you. For those that love that espadrille look, but don't care for the lace up straps, you may like a straw-like platform wedge sandal in canvas that has a red polka dot pattern. If polka dots or other patterns are not a favorite, maybe a solid red sling back wedge may be more for the everyday casual look and also may coordinate more with one’s wardrobe. For those formal events and those hot nights out on the town, there cannot be a better color to wear out than red! How about a pair of sparkly red wedges, or perhaps a subtler satin pair? A strappy leather red wedge paired up with that little black dress would add that finishing touch. You may be surprised that the wedge draws perhaps more attention than to one’s outfit! I haven't figured out whether that's good or bad. I'm going with good - but, then again, I'm obsessed with shoes!

So what to look out for when you're going for red heeled wedges? As with any type of shoe, it is important to have the correct size wedge for your feet. Since there are so many types of wedges, from wedge pumps to wedge sneakers, it is important to pick one that will go with more than one outfit. Also, remember with wedges, you have a choice with how high the heel is. The higher the wedge the more stable and the more support your foot has, and the more formal/professional the shoe is.

Because wedges are becoming increasingly popular many shoe designers have been creating their own lines. Now, there is no need to pay well over $300.00 for a pair of designer wedges (unless, of course, you simply must have those wedges that Megan Fox wore at her latest movie premiere). There are various stores online and in stores that offer a wide variety of red wedge shoes at a reasonable price, so that every women can have that fabulous pair of red wedge shoes in her closet!
