Get Wild and Sexy With Wedges In Living Color
When you want to be sexy and stylish, a fashion diva, color is the way to choose a shoe. Gold, red, silver, purple and pink can brighten up a pair of jeans or add pizazz to a simple skirt and blouse combo. Pick brown wedge shoes for some class and posh, but go wild and sexy in fuchsia or yellow.
I've always loved that word, posh. It's so distinctively British, but there really isn't an American equivalent. Posh is a state of mind. Of course now it's associated with Victoria Beckham, but really, with the way she dresses, the posh crown belongs squarely on her head. Thank goodness for fashion icons who make it ok to wear a pair of red wedge heels with plain jeans or a sassy dress.
This sexy pair of Calvin Klein Collection Women's Luca Wedge red wedges with a little sheath dress from Calvin Klein are perfect for jeans as well.
Remember when all our choices boiled down to affordable black and white pumps? Occasionally, we had a multicolored shoe that worked with a number of outfits, but normally our little pumps just worked with everything. Those days are gone, and thank the powers that be of that! Whip out your colors girls, because a simple belt and handbag can give you the opportunity to wear any shoe you want with just about any outfit you want.
Anne Likes Red
My mom used to say that all the time (her name is Anne - ). Apparently it came from a book for children she used to read to her kids (she's a teacher). Whenever I hear red shoes, I think of that book and my mother who would have loved to wear her red shoes, but always held back because she thought it only went with a few outfits.
... you probably know way more about my mom than you wanted right about now.
Perhaps you've been dying to own a pair of red wedge shoes, but aren't ready to invest in a shoe that only goes with a few outfits? That used to be the case, but today you can wear a red shoes with jeans, with dresses, with shorts and (I just backspaced tube tops... so why am I adding that in addendum?) even, gasp, evening gowns. It's not as cut and dried as slipping on a a pair of red hot sassy shoes with purple dress, however, there are rules here girls, RULES!
What really doesn't go with red shoes? Well unless you want to look like a rainbow I'd stay away from bright purples and yellows and definitely greens (can anyone say Christmas ornament?). Muted colors are great, even better are whites, navy and black. Yellow can be pretty as well, if it's either mustard or a pale shade. Greens are a little iffy, I'd steer clear.
Red Wedge Shoes are a really great investment is the bottom line. Red is sexy, steamy. Red hot, red blooded, passionate. Isn't that what you think of when you hear the word “red”? When you wear red you're wearing the color of love and romance and wicked hot sexy passionate- I'll be in my bunk...
All that Glitters
When it comes to gold wedge shoes, it all comes down to glamor. Gold just makes you feel like a 1930's movie star, even in a pair of capris. Gold is gorgeous and can be so classy. Oddly enough, gold shoes can be worn with jeans and party dresses alike.
Not all gold shoes are glamorous, some are plain fugly (freakin (sorry this is a semi-kid friendly site) + ugly. And by kid I mean at least fourteen. And by friendly I mean buy the shoes!). When you're about to buy a gold shoe, be sure the gold color is pretty and not flat. Usually there are customer reviews on a shoe, if you can't try it on yourself, read up on the shoe. Gold is just one of those colors that sometimes doesn't translate well in real life, so stick with places like Free Shipping and Free Returns at Shoes.com (note that free shipping and free returns!).
Pink And Purple: The New Blacks
Pink wedge shoes and purple wedge shoes are so in, they're pushing black out.
For a long time pink was the taboo color of shoe. The 80's kinda ruined the color. Pink was used a little bit too much. Neon pink was used on the jumping-over-the-cliff past too much. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your view, the 80's are making a comeback. Very fortunately, so is pink. Pink was one of the great things about the 80s, one of the few great things.
Purple is just as sassy as pink and is just as much fun to wear. I'm not a gal that prefers a bright purple shoe, but I love the muted deep purple wedge shoes and lavender wedges that totally make you feel amazing.
There is something frivolous, fun and audacious about wearing a pair of pink or purple wedges.
Runway Chic with Brown and Silver
A pair of brown wedge shoes can add some class and elegance to a beige, or cream suit. It's also a color that works with red, navy or green. I picture New York business women with brown suede wedge shoes and little brown leather belts wrapped around pencil skirt suits. Beautiful, classy and fashionable for the professional woman who wants a little style with her suits.

Pair some silver wedge shoes with a lovely party dress for your evening out. They are the perfect bold, sexy style of shoe for a flirty, circle or A-line skirt dress. Yes there are wedges that go with formal outfits. Perfect example: Touch ups by Benjamin Walker or Coloriffics dyables.
