If you know what I mean? Everyone has that pair of shoes they wear over and over because it goes with everything. Mine is a pair of white wedge sandals with a rubber heel. They're so worn out that the inset of the shoe is rubbing out. The funny thing is that I think half of the reasons I choose that shoe is because it matches everything and was so easy to slip on. So what am I missing when I have so many beautiful shoes and choose to wear one type? What am I missing when I don't own a pair of suede wedges.

There aren't a lot of different shoe fabrics. There is the synthetic, leather, cotton and canvas for the upper and even velvet shoes. Suede is one of the rarer used fabrics. It's also very sexy. It's actually really hard to find suede wedges, however, which makes that one of the biggest reasons that many women don't own a pair.

Since it's really frustrating to try and find a shoe and have to go to all different places, I've put together a bunch of different types of suede wedges from all over the Internet. Wintertime is a great time for black. While black can sometimes be bland and unexciting, conventional even, in the winter it's actually a spectacular color. In winter, while the white snow blankets the earth, a pair of black wedge shoes make a stark contrast. Black is always chic and elegant. It goes with everything and can be worn all year long. However, it goes best in the winter months. Although black shoes in the winter, the black wedges that are available are usually sandals, not exactly a practical shoe for winter.

Black wedges are one of the hottest shoes on the market today. They're sexy, comfortable and they look really great on the foot. They're conventional enough for a professional office and formal enough to wear with most evening dresses. When pairing a pair of black wedges with that perfect little black dress, it's important to distinguish them. A simple, yet elegant, dress needs a shoe with a little oomph. What I've done in this post is put together some really cute shoes that work well all year round (except the boots), but are super terrific in fall, winter and early spring (when the snow and cold still abound). While there are a lot of choices of boots out there, that's a whole other post. Besides it's easy to find a boot to wear in winter, even wedge boots, but it's not easy to find a wedge shoe that works. There are just too many open toe sandal wedges and peep toe wedges out there. And, as I've said many times before, the wedge shoe is particularly gorgeous, comfortable and sexy. No other shoe can function like a wedge.

Designers love to work with wedge shoes. This is evidenced by the number of them coming down the runway. Of course they really love high heels more, but I'm hoping this will change. The problem stems from the belief that wedges belong in a particular category. They're usually wedge sandals or peep toe styles, which makes them useful for only warmer times. Unless you live in a warm climate, you'll be able to wear sandals for about 5 or 6 months a year. Having a pair of shoes which can be warn year round is not just thrifty, its smart.

So why black when there are so many other colors to brighten up the gloom of winter? Well firstly, I don't think winter is very gloomy. There is a lot of gray, sure, but there's also white. The elegance of white and black together is indisputable. It's a natural contrast for every woman that wishes to wear an elegant shoe color, that's also versatile. So black is the perfect contrast is one great reason to showcase only black shoes in one post. The other reason I chose black is because it goes with nearly everything. There is very little black clashes with; navy blue is all that really comes to my mind. It looks better with some colors; white and red to name two, but it also looks good with nearly every other color in your closet. The last reason is that women love black. We do, let's face it. Black is that one pair of shoes that we can always throw on quickly if we're in doubt, or a hurry.

When it comes to winter shoes, there are a lot of choices. Flats, pumps, platforms and boots all abound in a lot of styles, but a pair of black wedge shoes will set you apart, especially a pair of black winter wedge shoes.
