I'll admit I have a problem. I have a thing for shoes. And my favorites are wedge dress shoes. I love wedges and the fancier ones the better. The fact that I love shoes is important. I don't write this blog because I have to, I write it because I love to. And I have a special love for wedge shoes. I've written about how I own over 80 pair and it's not just because they're gorgeous. I mean yes, they are gorgeous, but they're also the perfect shoe for every woman and I'll tell you why. No other shoe gives your more balance and still maintain some height. Why is that a huge factor? Because most women only wear shorter heels for comfort.

Whenever you see a woman in a short heel and a formal dress, it's because she wants to be comfortable. High heels just aren't comfortable for most women. Doing a search on the top 3 shoe sites for the most popular, or best selling, shoes and you'll find fewer than 3 out of the top 100 are high heels. Is it that women don't like high heels? If that were the case, then designers would stop making them. The fact is we love high heels. We love they way they make our legs look. We love the way they make us taller and sexier. No, it's not the way heels look that keeps us from buying them, it's the fact that they're really hard to walk in. No one looks attractive wobbling around in a sexy dress or suit. Wedge shoes are the answer to looking sexy, wearing a high heel and keeping your balance. They have a special type of sole that cradles the whole foot and supports the most important part, the arch. Having wedge dress shoes is perfect because it allows the beauty, height and sexiness of a heel without the balancing problem of a stiletto.

Dress shoes are those hot, sexy styles that can be worn with your prom dress, wedding dress, homecoming or a cocktail party. They're perfect for ay formal occasion and make women feel feminine and pretty. It's frustrating to not be able to wear a high heel when they look so good! Wedges relieve that frustrating. While they may not be as easy to walk in as a flat, they are 100 times easier to walk in than a stiletto. And since there are platform styles as well, the options to wear wedge dress shoes is even easier.

When you're looking for a dress shoe the sky is the limit. There aren't any real rules to what you need to wear. Some women prefer flats and some prefer a 6 inch heel, both can look great. It's just opinion that which makes one woman choose a high heel and another choose a flat. And even dress wedges come in lower heels. Of course, if you have an outfit and need a pair of green wedges, the problem becomes finding a pair of green wedge shoes. There aren't many choices are there? And wedge shoes are the particular choice of women that want a high heel shoe but not the problems associated with high heels (like wobbling about because you have no support).

There are plenty of reasons to get a pair of green wedges, not the least of which is it's a beautiful color. It's also unusual. Honestly, there aren't a lot of green outfits and even fewer green shoes. The thing is that green wedges are really pretty! So if you have a green prom dress, or sweater, you want to match it with a great pair of shoes. It's kind of difficult to do when there just aren't a lot of shoes to do so with, and the ones that are there aren't easy to walk in.

Quite unexpectedly, while I was writing this post, I found a bunch of different green wedge shoes on various websites. I think I was more stunned that there were more green than silver ones. I always though green was an unusual color, but at one site I found 5 pages of them! Of course, not all were stellar (ugh to some of them), but most of them were really hot and some were even sexy. Green is such a funky color sometimes that it gets overlooked by a lot of shoppers. But what an outfit when you can match a pair of shoes to a small floral print or some stripes. Outfits always look better when accessories and shoes match.

Wedges offer something that other shoes don't: comfort. They're shaped to fit the foot (which was what the original creator, Ferragamo, had in mind). They're meant to support the arch, heel and toe of a woman's foot. All the height and none of the problems, is how I like to put it. So if you're interested in buying a pair of green shoes, I'd stick with wedges because you can get some height.

So what are the problems with green shoes? Well pair them with the wrong color and you'll look like a Christmas decoration. And unless that's the look you want to go for, you'll want to really see, together, the outfit you're going to pair the shoes with. Green looks really great with yellow, but it's the shade of green and the shade of yellow that matters. A forest green and pastel yellow look amazing together. Lemon and Kelly? Not so much. Red and green? Unless you're dressing up for a Christmas pageant, terrible, terrible idea!

In the end, choose green shoes because they're pretty and unusual, but also be careful about what you pair them with!

When we think about wedge shoes the most common style comes to mind, the classic wedge heeled dress shoe. What some fail to realize is that there are a lot more options out there then just this one wedge heel style. New concepts on this old favorite are being introduced on store shelves each year and it is spicing things up.

Wedge sandals for example, took the fashion scene by storm only a few years ago. We still see the Espadrille style wedge paired with flowered dresses or jean shorts in the Summer even now. The cork wedge has also became a popular material for these sandals. They're durable and light on the feet making them the perfect warm weather accessory.

If one absolutely must go with a less casual style shoe the limits are nearly endless. A fun shoe falls under the category of cool, funky, fresh, unique and interesting. Platform wedges are a great place to start, when you're looking for a fun wedge shoe. Certain brands can make a really fun shoes, like Betsey Johnson. Betsey's designs are always very cute and flirty. They're also lovely, pretty and very feminine. One thing I love about a truly great design of women's wedge shoe is that they are made for a woman, not just in the composition, but in the flavor. Let's take these Betsey designs as examples.

Betsey's Foster design is one of my favorite shoes. In fact, I had never even considered yellow shoes before I saw these shoes. There are so man intricate parts of this shoe which make it fun and exceptional. Firstly, look at the sole of the shoe. Most designer's don't do much with the bottom of a shoe, but when you cross your legs or as you're walking, trust me, people notice the bottom. I often get stopped and asked to see the bottom of my shoe. Next if you look at the design itself it's so pretty and really really fun. When I wear these shoes I just feel bouncy. The sole and design of this wedge shoe aren't the only unique and fresh part, the cut out geometric shape is amazing too. It's a small added touch, but it really makes a difference. The weave is really incredible in the heel as well. Lastly, the slingback has a little bow which is just the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

Another great fun style from Betsey is this Mariana. It comes in both black and white and also in yellow and white. A slingback with a patent upper, the little accents make a huge difference on this shoe. Once again look at the sole, how cute is that? Luv American Style, for sure. Perfect for a party dress or a formal dress, these little sweet wedge heels make an impact. My favorite part is the little bow just above the toe. These shoes are irresistible (at least they were for me).

By comparison, a sexy shoe can be flirty, but mostly it needs to be smoldering. A sexy shoe will not only be a higher shoe, it will have class and style to the design that really makes it unique. You can find designers like Michael Kors, Donna Karan and Anne Klein.

What makes this Michael Kors sexy? First of all it's incredibly well made. Look at the patent which shines, even in a picture! It's insane. Next, really look at the color of the red. That red is a very unique shade. Designers create not only designs, they create specific colors. Regular brand shoes usually have generic colors, but fashion designers create their own palettes. Now check out the heel of the shoe. How gorgeous is that shoe. And as you can see, when you're walking in the shoe it looks like a stiletto from behind. That is why designers charge so much for their shoe. One last point about this shoe. The small black patent piping around the edges of the shoe really stand out against the red. With a little peep toe and buckle slingback, this is a magnificently sexy wedge shoe.

My final pair of shoes is a plain, but gorgeous pair of Anne Klein thong sandals. Anne Klein is notorious for making a sexy and classy style of shoe. This pair is is no different. These are incredibly sexy, but not only that they are professional as well. These are so well made and designed, you can wear them to the office with a pair of pants and blazer and look fan-freaking-tastic. The elegant gold buckle just adds to the class. Very comfortable and wickedly sexy.
