While I wouldn't wear them with a pair of bermuda shorts, I'm one of those weird people that think metallic shoes look great with shorts; even jean shorts. I also believe that they're terrific with jeans and pants. So don't get bogged down thinking that new pair of silver wedge sandals with rhinestones are going to sit in your closet until the next formal or sem-formal event. Depending on what you wear on top, they can be pulled out of your closet for just about any occasion.
Remember to accessorize as well. A great pair of silver shoes deserves a few matching accessories. If it's for a formal event, a bright glittery silver handbag and some bling jewelry will make the ensemble pop. That 'wow' factor that people talk about, that'll be you!
