If you're looking for the perfect pink wedge shoes to go with your party dress, homecoming dress or prom dress, I've got important news for you! Stay away from pink shoes if your dress is pink unless the shoe has a mixture of pinks and one is very close to your shoe color. If your shoes do not match in color, the outfit will look awkward. The best option, instead, is to buy a pair of dyeable shoes. With all the wedding activity that happens yearly, you'll be able to find a great pair and get them dyed to match your dress to nearly exactly its shade of pink.
If you've got a black, silver or purple dress, the pink wedge shoe is one of the best choices for shoes. To bring the whole look together a simple clutch, handbag or bow in pink will do nicely.
Pair it with pink wedges
Okay, theres a lot of alliteration in that title of this page, but let's examine the pink wedge for a second and really give thanks to how awesome it is.
Silver, white, black, red; those are all standard fare when most people put on a formal gown. Very few people go with a bright shoe, but it can really add some sparkle and life to your outfit. And remember, there are about a bazillion shades of pink wedges, you don't have to go with some fluorescent shade of fuchsia. For a light summer frock, try a soft candy pink, or even lighter pale pink. For a rockin' black dress, try a deep fuchsia. Even pink with pink is pretty - just be sure to keep the lower half of your body lighter than the upper half or people will see your shoes before you.
One last reminder about pairing it with pink wedges, colors such as green, purple, red and yellow should be carefully paired. While it's not impossible to blend those colors - indeed many dresses have a combination of purple and pink that make wearing pink shoes almost mandatory - it can look ostentatious. Ask a friend or someone close to you - or anyone that has the tendency to be honest about things - to let you know how things look.
On a side note, pink with pink is beautiful, but be tasteful. If you've a lot of pink in your dress - shirt or whatever - try and get an exact match. Get a pair of dyeable shoes and match it as close as possible. If the whole dress is a shade of pink, you can get an exact match or go lighter. What you don't want to do is have a giant sign on your feet going "HI I'M *insert name here*'s SHOES!".

When you want to be sexy and stylish, a fashion diva, color is the way to choose a shoe. Gold, red, silver, purple and pink can brighten up a pair of jeans or add pizazz to a simple skirt and blouse combo. Pick brown wedge shoes for some class and posh.
I've always loved that word: posh. It's so distinctively British, but there really isn't an American equivalent. Posh is a state of mind. Of course now it's associated with Victoria Beckham, but really, with the way she dresses, the posh crown belongs squarely on her head. Thank goodness for fashion icons who make it ok to wear a pair of red wedge heels with plain jeans or a sassy sundress.
Remember when all our choices boiled down to affordable black and white pumps? Occasionally, we had a multicolored shoe that worked with a number of outfits, but normally our little pumps just worked with everything. Those days are gone, and thank the powers that be of that! Whip out your colors girls, because a simple belt and handbag can give you the opportunity to wear any shoe you want with just about any outfit you want.

Perhaps you've been dying to own a pair of red wedge shoes, but aren't ready to invest in a shoe that only goes with a few outfits?
