Wedge Shoes Guide

I'm sure not everyone reading my blog is as fanatic about shoes as I am. This is a great thing, for me, since all the buying and wearing of my shoes, has translated into this blog about wedge shoes. I have other blogs about shoes (one would have to, when one has over 80 pairs). This particular type of shoe needs its own blog because it's such an amazing style. Besides looking really great on your foot, they are available in every size, color and design. They also have a wide range of prices and fashion designers that design based on the style. As if those wonderful qualities weren't enough, wedge shoes are also the most comfortable low or high heel available on the market. With these qualities in mind, I know present you with 10 wedge shoes you need to own:

1. Wedge sandals have always been a favorite of designers. Stilettos are often hard to walk in, especially when there is little holding the foot inside the shoe. However, a wedge shoe offers an incredible support system and allows for a more creative design because the heel has so much space. As sandals usually have very little upper areas, having a larger “canvas' on the heel gives designers a bigger area to add a little styling to the shoe.
2. Wedge platform shoes are often thought to be more of a casual or clubbing type of shoe. There are loads of different designs of platform wedges, including ones that can be worn to formal occasions. While the latter styles may be harder to find, they exist. So, why would anyone go to the trouble of looking for a platform shoe? It just happens that platforms are much easier to walk in, but still give the same height. If you have a difficult time with more angular shaped wedge shoes, you'll find a small or equal platform will make it much easier
3. Most wedge boots aren't as attractive as high heel boots, but there are newer designs coming out every day which can rival or surpass the basic high heel. Comfy and gorgeous, your feet will feel and look amazing with just about any outfit, including pencil skirts and business suits. Of course you'll want to avoid ankle boots with most outfits, but knee high wedge boots will be ideal.
4. Every woman needs a basic pair of black wedge shoes. While we all have lots of black shoes in our closet, the wedge is distinctive and sexy. I recommend a pair by Michael Kors. He has a unique sense of style for wedges. One designer that makes black look amazing is Anne Klein.
5. Along with black, you need a pair of red wedge shoes (bet you thought I was going to say white). Red is one of the most glorious colors around. Red shoes make you feel sexy, seductive and powerful. Put them on with a formal dress, jeans or even a hot, flirty skirt.
6. Sets of colorful wedge shoes such as yellow, purple and blue. I recommend at least a few colors in your closet just to keep it fresh. Doesn't it get boring wearing the same old black, tan, white etc? It's time to burst out of your shell and throw some color into your life. Trust me, you won't regret it. You'll be surprised by how many things you can wear with colorful shoes.
7. Wedge sneakers are one of those styles of shoe that people either love or hate. It's no surprise that some women have a hard time wearing a pair of high shoes; and since we wear sneakers for comfort, it behooves us to buy lower heels. Well you can find wedge sneakers in a lower heel just perfect for cushioning the foot while walking or jogging. You can also find a really high pair of them to wear shopping or hanging out.
8. The comfy wedge shoe. An everyday low shoe that you can wear with just about anything. Pick a neutral color that works for both fall and summer, like beige, and add it to your wardrobe. That one pair of comfortable shoes will look fantastic year round and it makes finding what to wear so much easier!
9. Brown wedge shoes are so underestimated in a woman's closet. Finding a really great pair of brown shoes, more of a chocolate shade, is the perfect way to spice up a mundane basic black wardrobe. Try not to pair them with black, instead try them with pinks, reds and beige. You'll look fantastic. Count on it.
10. 1. The ultimate pair of women's wedge shoes is the designer shoe. Splurge on a really expensive pair of shoes that you can feel amazing when you put them on. Don't go too overboard if you're on a strict budget, but whatever your budget allows try and spend it on a quality pair of shoes. Just having a great pair of shoes, like that, will make you feel like a million dollars.
